How to Convert PDFs to Doc using Google Docs
It is easy to convert a Word doc to a PDF. Just save it as a PDF.
Unfortunately, it is not so easy to reverse the process.
You have 2 choices:
- Purchase software that you may only want to use one or 2 times
- Download free software, which probably won’t work too well and comes with unwanted add-ons
There is a free option that you probably already have on your computer… Google Docs.
This is a simple process but one that you may not already be aware of.
We created a short video to show how it is done.

The menus have changed a bit since we made this video, but the only difference that affects this is that where it used to say “download as” it now says just “download”.
I also talk about using Jing. Jing doesn’t exist anymore, but you can use Techsmith Capture, which replaced Jing.
And I speak a little about doing edits in MS Word.
