How to set up Facebook Instant Articles
Facebook introduced their “Instant Articles” in the spring of 2016.
A majority of Facebook’s views are from mobile devices now, which presents (at least) 2 issues:
- Mobile users tend not to click through on Facebook. They just scroll down. This means that all they see is the intro blurb, not the entire article.
- If they do click through, the load time for most off-Facebook articles and videos is very long, which results in a bad experience for the user.
Since Facebook is trying to attract as many users as possible, they want them to have a good experience.
Facebook Instant Articles is one of their answers. If your blog is set up, your articles will load automatically onto Facebook. This makes for a better experience for the use and more engagement for you.
In this video I briefly touch on some of the pros and cons of using FB Instant Articles and show how to set up your blog and connect it to Facebook.
