How to use Vimeo Record

Vimeo Record is a free tool that you can use to create quick screen capture videos.

I was using Jing, which has been discontinued, then switched to Techsmith Capture. I use them mostly for support questions. I will create a short video to show what I am doing and what is not working.

The problem I am having with that (which was also a problem with Jing) is that a lot of support people cannot play videos from screencast.com, which forced me to download the video and upload it to my Youtube account. Very inconvenient.

The other day I received an email about Vimeo Record, so I decided to try it out. It is a Chrome extension and the resulting video is uploaded to your Vimeo account. This works fine with a free account.
