How to Use Loom Video Creation Software
Loom is a Chrome Extension that allows you to create quick screen capture or webcam videos.
It is similar to Jing (which I use on almost a daily basis) with a couple of notable exceptions:
- Loom allows you to create webcam videos, which Jing does not,
- Loom renders the video instantly, whereas you have to wait (sometimes a few minutes) for Jing to render a video
- Jing lets you do image capture as well as videos, which Loom does not, and
- Jing will automatically upload your video to Screencast.com, where it will stay indefinitely. Loom’s video link expires in 7 days unless you refer someone to them,
So, I guess one will not replace the other, but each has its place…
